My university background is in the fine arts, having graduated, magna cum laude, from UCLA, with a BS in music, voice and a concentration in acting and cinema. I am a member of SAG and AFTRA. Worked as an actor on stage and in films. Was directed by Arthur Hiller, my friend now for over 30 years, in The Crazy World of Julius, that had Timothy Bottoms and Barbara Hershey in the starring roles (click here to view scenes). I produced incidental music for Babenco´s Pixote and worked in the production of The Kiss of the Spider Woman. Wrote and recorded soundtrack music for many Brazilian soap operas for TV Globo and SBT. I hold dual nationality: Brazilian and North American. My late father was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I do work as narrator (English, Portuguese and Spanish) and presenter in major cerimonies such as Bill Gates lecture in São Paul, the visit of President Bill Clinton to São Paulo in 2001 and that of the president of South Africa, Mr. Mbecki in São José dos Campos.
I am currently involved in a number of film projects: short subjects, documentaries and features. The objective is to have several titles competing in the international award arena with a possible involvement of the Silvio Santos Group.
I am also a singer with many records released and over 5 000 000 000 copies sold in several countries. I am a member of ASCAP. Also a simultaneous translator, having interpreted over 2000 international events. I have successfully translated six Oscar Shows for Brazilian SBT Television: 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 with great reviews . Likewise, I have translated the Grammy Awards presentations of 2003, 2004 and 2005 and the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Grammy Latino Awards TV casts.
Since the Silvio Santos Group had rights for Brazilian open television broadcast of the Academy Awards Presentation Broadcast for many years, there is a possibility of their involvement in the production and promotion of South American - North American co-productions, taking advantage of Brazilian Income Tax Incentives, under the law of "audio-visuals".
I have authored a number of books. The most recent: Automóveis de São Paulo; Cantareira, Patrimônio Arquiteônico e Natural . I have nine new books planned for 2005 and 2006. Some of these books focus on the subject of Native America. I have researched extensively and intensively the South American Indian cultures of Peru, Bolivia and Brazil. Proto-history and archeology are two of my favorite subjects.
I have had CBS News (since 1986) and CNN International as my clients for news productions in Brazil.

COLLABORATION

I feel there is a possibility of my collaboration in some of the following areas:

- Major content consulting.

- Final script concept and adjustments.

- Title theme music and soundtrack incidental music creation and production.

- Co-production or Associate Producer. In this case I can include our co-productions in the Award competition strategy for the Oscar.

- Political and relationship marketing thru my network of friends and contacts.

- Interpreting and helping bridge the language and cultural barriers between the production players and countries.

- PR and press promotion strategies and execution.

- Other possibilities.

Please let me know your thoughts and what other possibilities you see for collaboration.
